Each of us at Sound of Hope Ministries have been blessed to learn to play an instrument or 2. Through learning music we have all gained invaluable skills and experienced great joy in leading others in worship. It is the desire of Instruments of Hope to bring this same opportunity to the musically gifted in San Pedro.
In October of 2013, we were able to use our musical gifts in the form of some music lessons in the classroom. At Holy Cross Anglican School, we taught the children about instruments and held a recorder lesson. These lessons are just the beginning of what we desire to accomplish with Instruments of Hope.
It is our hope to enrich the lives of these children with all the good things music can do for development. We are also looking to eventually hand off this program to Belizeans, some of whom may have begun their musical journey with us.
If you are interested in getting involved with Instruments of Hope as an instructor, please contact us. We would love to meet with you.

Working the shaker.
Did you used to play an instrument? Do you still have that instrument? We know some Belizean kids who'd be happy to take them off your hands!
Sound of Hope Ministries is currently accepting instrument donations. Take a look at our progress chart to see what instruments are currently lacking from our band. Of course we will happily accept any instrument you are willing to part with.
And we would also love to start a strings class, but we need violins, violas, cellos and maybe even a double bass. If you or someone you know has a student string instrument that could be donated, please contact us!
